Vacant Sky Parlor Song 'Day-Glo Sugar' Released

August 6, 2007

In mid October, I will be completing a Vacant Sky Parlor ep called 'hype!' in a sort of haphazard brunch between albums. It will consist of 11 tracks, though not all of them are necessarily songs. However, the 3rd on is a song and it's now available for download. You can head on over to the Vacant Sky Parlor site to get it, or you can just grab it here. It's not any where near as good as the 'Octopus Zoo' songs I'm working on, but it'll give you something to chew on between now and then.

Vacant Sky Parlor Album 'Octopus Zoo' In The Works

June 28, 2007

I'm working on the second Vacant Sky Parlor album, which will be called 'Octopus Zoo'. This one has sort of an dream/escapism/ocean theme going on, and ought to be a good soundtrack for your aquatic reverie. I suspect I'll be releasing it at the end of the year. Time will tell.

Vacant Sky Parlor Album 'Liederkreis' Released

April 10, 2007

The first InfiniteJellyroll full album release since 1999 hit the public ears on April 10 of 2007. Vacant Sky Parlor is my synth/vocal project that draws from a wide variety of influences and ends up being a strange neopsychedelic synthpop sort of thing. This was the result of my participation in the RPM Challenge, with an additional month devoted to re-recording the vocals and redoing the mixing and mastering. The whole album is available for download in high quality mp3 format. I also did a short run (12 count) CD release which featured a 13th song. This song was long and annoying, so don't feel like you missed out. Head on over to the Vacant Sky Parlor MP3 Download page and get the songs for yourself.

Vacant Sky Parlor Project Announced

March 3, 2007

I signed up for the RPM Challenge and, to some extent, successfully completed it. It's similar to NaNoWriMo for musicians, who accept the challenge to write and record a full album (at least 10 songs and/or 35 minutes) all within the month of February. I plan on releasing this album through InfiniteJellyroll on CDR, as well as free mp3 downloads. Before I do so, however, I'm going to record the vocals again and do all the mixing and mastering again. I'm rather pleased with the songs and music, so I look forward to sharing the finished project.

Track Released : V/M : (this is) Just Like Television

October 6, 2006

My second track as Violet Mongoose is now available for download. This one took considerably less time to put together than the first, and, in my opinion, is considerably better produced. I figure this is a sign I'm getting better skilled and acquainted with the tools. It's a fast one, at 150 bpm, and has some nice thup and zap to keep things moving along. It goes through a few phases, and I'm really pleased with some of the transitions. I've even got a nice piano line to close the thing out. Enjoy.. and let me know what you think.

Track Released : V/M : Growth In The Spring

July 13, 2006

Finally, I have decided to release this song. It's taken months to produce, most of which was a learning experience, getting down techniques and becoming acquainted with the software. While no outstanding track on its own, I feel it shows that I have potential. Mainly, it is the result of me learning how to do what I wanted to do. At any rate, give it a listen and I hope you get some sort of enjoyment out of it.

Kirkbride Project Started

June 7, 2006

In addition to my more psy oriented project Violet Mongoose, I've also started up a project for more sinister stuff, called Kirkbride. Kirkbride will focus on eerie and somewhat unnerving experiences. Where-as V/M is more tripped out and dance-oriented, Kirkbride is headphones material for disturbed individuals.

InfiniteJellyroll.com Released

September 24, 2005

After a year of coming soon, I've finally released the official website to the general public. This will be used to draw attention to new album releases from InfiniteJellyroll artists, as well as info on the label and artists. In time, it is hoped, that this site will be the nucleus of the IJR world.

I am Chris Lockhart, former member of musical projects JellyGirl, StrawBerry Yoga, the Untied, and Misc. In 1999, Infinite Jellyroll Records existed solely to release the JellyGirl cd 'ShoeString Pop' locally in Athens, OH. The label has been resurrected, with a slight name change, as InfiniteJellyroll. The current focus is to carry the music of Violet Mongoose, my new solo project.
